A major benefit of Toolkit is the ability to access both the baseline and current cash flow in just a few clicks. This saves me considerable time as the reports provide the information which is dynamic with the current programme.
Earned Value is released from the complex software into excel enabling links to the commercial reporting fully complimenting each other to provide robust reporting of the project performance. The Toolkit enables simple translation and presentation of Earned Value into a format that can be thoroughly interrogated and understood.
The Toolkit contains predefined Reports that incorporate drop down selections where I can select any resource, cost account, activity or item in one click providing the complete graphs instantly together with supporting time spread data. As the information is in excel it is fully customisable and I can personalise to any needs.
A key feature of the Earned value Analysis is that I can amend the progress against each activity and toolkit automatically recalculates the earned value. I can then view this information at various levels: activity, resource or cost account. I therefore don’t have to wait for the Planner to update the programme to establish the earned value status.
The Toolkit also proves to be an advantage when it comes to project change. Firstly I can filter the project for those coded with project change into a simple easy to understand view supporting the NEC3 contract.
In addition using the toolkits “Project Change Analysis” I can compare any revision of the programme. The toolkit computes a full change analysis which is summarised into ta simple spreadsheet showing what has changed, whether it be activity duration, logic dates and additional activities and many more. Thus providing an invaluable tool in identifying potential change and entitlement.
I can manage and use any of the outputs in excel thus I can use this as supporting information in quotations or claims without the planner. To support this the Toolkit has a dashboard facility where I can present multiple sources of data on one sheet.
