Having responsibility for a portfolio of projects, I am impressed with the Schedule Toolkits function to connect to a planning database where I can select any of the live projects to view. I can also select multiple projects to view at any one time and not only that I can view the associated programme components.

In toolkit I can view the information to any desired level. I can select with one click to see just the project milestones, a high level programme, certain disciplines or work breakdown structures and predefined activity codes.

The key advantage to my role is to view project resources at single and multiple project views. Toolkit enhances this experience with pre-defined dashboards where I can quickly produce resource histograms on a multi-project scale which proves invaluable in managing staff across projects. Not only can I view this data but s the information is in excel II can make changes and level resources to suit my organisations needs.

I can also can establish personalised dashboards which I can then view each time the project(s) are updated providing me with an instant report that is consistent on each project.

The Earned Value Summary Report incorporates drop down selections where I can select any resource, cost account, activity or item in one click providing the complete graphs instantly together with supporting earned value data. As the information is in excel it is fully customisable and I can personalise to any needs.
