A scheduling tool used by blue chip businesses to drive exceptional performance is to be showcased at the UK’s leading event for project management professionals.
XER Schedule Toolkit will be promoted at the Project Controls Expo at Wembley Stadium on November 5–6, just weeks after it was featured “across the pond” at the American counterpart in Washington.
The industry-leading product is gaining ever-increasing traction as a difference-maker in the successful delivery of construction and engineering projects across a wide range of sectors.
Major businesses such as Network Rail, Morgan Sindall Group, Skanska and Mace are among the growing number of clients that have adopted XER Schedule Toolkit to enable efficient and effective management and delivery of projects, to programme and budget.
Project Controls Expo brings together over 2,000 delegates from key stakeholders in the project delivery sector. Described as “a celebration of project controls” the two-day event highlights the value of the discipline and aims to showcase the impact it can have when put to use effectively.
XER’s Digital Director, Chris Grosvenor, will present the software’s key features and benefits and explore how businesses can elevate collaboration beyond merely sharing and viewing information to fostering active engagement across all project stakeholders.
He will be joined by Ellis Denton, Planning Manager at multi-disciplinary engineering specialist Spencer Group, who will share how XER has enabled the business to enhance project planning quality, reduce the workload on planners, and empower all stakeholders to take ownership of the project programme.
Developed almost 10 years ago, XER Schedule Toolkit is an all-in-one, third party toolkit that allows planners, schedulers and the wider project team to view, analyse and share project schedules, enabling advanced collaboration and increased ownership.
The cloud-based platform enhances information sharing across the entire team, bringing the whole plan to life while improving accuracy and timekeeping. By making information accessible across the board, project and commercial managers can generate real-time reports and track project progress independently, without solely depending on the planner.
Businesses can also forensically analyse multiple versions of their project schedule in seconds, producing comprehensive reports on every change made, allowing issues to be easily identified before they become a problem.
The tool can be used across a wide variety of industries, including nuclear and energy, oil and gas, roads and rail, aerospace, and defence.
Chris Grosvenor said: “The Toolkit received an overwhelmingly positive response from everyone who visited us at the Washington conference. We were also delighted to have the opportunity to meet with several long-time clients to engage in detailed discussions about how they are currently using the Toolkit and the ways they envision expanding its role in future.
“The event itself was dynamic, featuring talks scheduled every hour covering a broad range of topics. Our Toolkit was prominently featured within the Technology Hub, allowing attendees to explore its features and functionality in a hands-on environment.
“Our presentation was well attended and received a fantastic response from the audience. We had the chance to showcase recent updates, share our vision for future enhancements, and answer insightful questions from both new and experienced users.
“We’re looking forward to doing it all again at the London conference and meeting with some of our existing UK clients, as well as connecting with potential new users too.”
