XER 1.5: Improving the little things that matter most
This release centres on quality-of-life enhancements, delivering a collection of long-requested improvements that will streamline everyday workflows and reduce friction across the system. While each change is small on its own, together they represent meaningful steps toward a smoother and more intuitive user experience.
Project Filters
Users managing large numbers of projects have often found it difficult to quickly locate the one they need, especially when performing actions that require selecting from long project lists. To address this, we’ve introduced a new project-filtering capability in several key areas. Users can now easily narrow down project options when working with:
- When selecting a baseline or copying a project, we’ve added a project filter so make it easier to find the project you’re looking for
- Then when moving a project, we’ve added a folder filter so you can more easily find the destination folder you want rather than having to browse through your full stack of folders.
These filters make navigation far more efficient for power users and teams with extensive portfolios.
Dashboard Titles
To improve clarity and reduce confusion when working with dashboards, the system now displays the saved dashboard name whenever it is being viewed or printed. This change ensures users always know exactly which dashboard version they are working with, particularly helpful when sharing or exporting dashboards during reporting cycles.
Renaming Saved Dashboards
Previously, renaming a saved dashboard required an inconvenient workaround: saving a new version under the desired name and manually deleting the old one. With this release, users can now rename dashboards directly, eliminating unnecessary steps and keeping workspace organisation clean.
We recognise that this limitation existed in a few other areas of the system as well. While those are still in place today, we plan to address them in an upcoming update as part of our ongoing commitment to usability improvements.
