In XER toolkit projects can be assigned with a corresponding baseline, similar to Prima Vera P6, we do this by selecting the paperclip icon to the right of the required live project, you can either import a new project schedule by clicking on the import button and selecting a file from your device, alternatively you can select a file from the existing database by clicking on the drop-down menu.

You need to select the relevant project before clicking on the save button, once selected the screen will refresh and the baseline information will have been saved. If we now open the project schedule we will see a small orange bar underneath the coloured activity bar, this signifies the baseline has been attached to the designated project.

If we return to your manage projects page, you may also notice the project we selected as a baseline now no longer appears within the database. Plus, the project we assigned the baseline to will display yes instead of a paperclip icon to signify a baseline has been assigned to the project. To remove this baseline, click on the pencil icon next to yes before opening the drop-down menu. You should select the no primary baseline option and click on the save button, the toolkit will update with this new baseline information and restore the newly detached baseline project. The original project can now be reassigned with another baseline from the paperclip icon.
