Connecting People, Projects and Technology: XER Schedule Toolkit Supports APM Women in Project Management Conference 2026

XER Schedule Toolkit was proud to support the APM Women in Project Management Conference 2026 as a Bronze Sponsor and Exhibitor, joining project professionals from across the industry for a day dedicated to connection, collaboration and professional development.

Taking place on Thursday 8 October at the InterContinental London – The O2, the conference brought together professionals from across the project management community under this year’s theme, “Connection to Action”.

Representing XER Schedule Toolkit were Ellis Denton, Director, and Matthew Tomlinson, Business Development Executive, who welcomed delegates to the exhibition stand, discussing how technology can help bridge the gap between detailed project schedules and the wider teams responsible for delivering them.

While project programmes contain essential information about progress, sequencing, dependencies and potential risks, accessing and understanding that information can often present challenges for stakeholders who do not work directly with specialist planning software.

For XER Schedule Toolkit, making complex schedule information more accessible was a central theme throughout the event.

The team showcased the recently launched XER 2.0 Beta, introducing delegates to a completely redesigned Schedule Viewer built to handle major programmes while providing a more intuitive way to explore and understand project information.

The updated Viewer combines a configurable Activity List with an interactive Gantt chart, helping users navigate large schedules, examine relationships and focus on the activities most relevant to their responsibilities.

These capabilities support a broader objective: ensuring that valuable planning information can be understood and used by project managers, delivery teams and other stakeholders, not just specialist planners.

Ellis Denton, Director at XER Schedule Toolkit, commented:

“As an organisation, we’re passionate about making project controls information more accessible to everyone involved in delivering a project, not just those working directly within specialist planning software.

Project schedules contain an enormous amount of valuable information, but that information only delivers real value when people can understand it, interrogate it and use it to make informed decisions.

Our continued investment in XER Schedule Toolkit is focused on improving that accessibility, while ensuring planners and project controls professionals retain the powerful analytical capabilities they need. Events like the APM Women in Project Management Conference provide an excellent opportunity to engage with the wider project management community and understand how we can continue supporting their needs.”

The conference’s emphasis on turning connections into meaningful action provided a fitting backdrop for discussions about how digital tools can improve communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

As organisations continue to deliver increasingly complex projects, the ability to share reliable, understandable programme information across different disciplines remains a fundamental part of effective project management.

XER Schedule Toolkit was delighted to contribute to the event and engage with professionals passionate about improving the way projects are planned, managed and delivered.
