XER 1.10 – Small Fixes, Big Improvements

At XER Schedule Toolkit, we are continually improving the user experience behind the scenes. Through regular feature updates, usability enhancements, performance improvements and customer-led development, we are working to make the customer experience as seamless as possible.

Following the release of XER 1.7, 1.8 and 1.9, our team has been working hard to make further improvements that will make XER Schedule Toolkit even easier to use.

Introducing XER 1.10:

New Features & Improvements

Standardised progress emails – Progress emails have been redesigned so that progress requests, reminders, reissued requests and progress updates all use the same format, wording and overall style as the other automated emails in the system.

Large XER imports no longer half-succeed – Importing a large file that fails part way through now rolls back cleanly and reports the failure, instead of leaving a partially imported project that looked complete.

Clearing a progress date – A bug was fixed in Input Schedule Progress where clicking the Clear/bin button on a date or time field would close the dialog but fail to actually remove the selected date or time.

Editing an activity’s Start date repeatedly – We have fixed an issue that prevented users from updating an activity’s Start date more than once without refreshing the page. Previously, a second inline change could fail unless the interface was reloaded.

Shared projects no longer inflate your activity usage – Sharing projects no longer causes activities to be counted twice toward your subscription’s activity limit.

No payment date on an expired subscription – When your subscription expires, you will no longer receive a “your next payment is due on…” message.

Key dates lists milestones again – An issue with the project activity API was preventing milestones from displaying and stopping users from selecting project start and finish activities. These activities are now loading correctly, so milestones are visible and selectable as expected.

Menu now displays correctly in the new UI – We have fixed an issue where users with existing projects were seeing an empty menu in the new UI, even though their projects appeared correctly in the legacy UI. Projects and menu options are now displayed as expected.

Keep any eye out for something exciting coming soon…
